We focus on the Brain-Gut axis and improving the microbiome with the food choices we choose. This is carefully integrated with the principles of intuitive eating, teaching patients to listen to their bodies and being more mindful. Our approach is very practical and moves the patient from a spectator to a participant. There will also be recipe demonstrations and patients will take home all the recipes they will enjoy during their stay.

Retha is a driven and passionate Dietician that has a desire to improve health and wellness to prevent disease. She aims to address wellness not only as a healthy weight or a disease-free life but rather as a life in abundance in all aspects of a person’s being.

Retha has a special interest in corporate health as a consultant dietitian, she often gives talks on health-related topics at events, she also offers masterclasses as well as recipe demonstrations. She also wrote and published a recipe e-book in 2018. On a more individual and group consultation level, she focuses on mindful and intuitive eating, weight management, Diabetes Mellitus (Accredited Dietician for the Centre of Diabetes and Endocrinology and Optifast trained), nutrigenomics and many more.

She serves on the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA) Executive committee as the Public Relations portfolio holder as well as being an ADSA spokesperson.
